At Iva’s Place, we believe healing begins in
safe spaces filled with compassion, dignity, and care.
Recently, we were deeply blessed by the Women’s
Ministry of Community Church of Tellico Village,
whose members went above and beyond to
restore beauty and peace to our Safe Haven Shelter.

🌸 Bringing Life Back to Our Flower Beds

Janet Gotts, Peggy Roberts, Amy Robosan, and Michele Ondeck generously gave their time and energy to clean and restore our flower beds. Their work transformed the outdoor spaces
into something truly special welcoming and peaceful for
the women, children, and men who seek refuge here.
Their kindness has brought fresh life and comfort
to all who walk through our doors.

🖌️ Creating Safe and Beautiful Spaces Inside

Inside the shelter, Debbie Allard, Dana Elliott, Michele Tate, and Karen Baber (pictured wearing sunglasses) spent countless hours painting newly renovated bedrooms, hallways, and common areas. But they didn’t stop there, they also furnished and decorated multiple rooms, creating a warm, home-like environment for our residents. These women serve with intention, ensuring every detail reflects love, safety, and
the belief that every victim of domestic violence
deserves a space that truly feels like home.

We are truly humbled by their service. Their work is more than paint and plants,
it’s an extension of their faith, a commitment to making sure
no one feels alone, and a tangible expression of hope.

From all of us at Iva’s Place,
thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. 💜
