At Iva’s Place our mission is to provide a comprehensive system of support and services to victims of domestic violence so healing can begin. As a trauma-informed program, offering multi-levels of services, we believe our program helps victims of domestic violence begin to heal from their abuse, better understand the dynamics of domestic violence, and using a holistic, individualized approach, victims of domestic violence can recover from an abusive past while learning to live a life free from pain, control and shame.
Iva’s Place is seeking individuals who have a desire to work with victims and survivors of trauma due to Domestic Violence. We have several part-time positions available. Part-time staff report on weekends and work an 8-hour shift on Saturday and an 8-hour shift on Sunday. Part-time staff may work 2 or more weekends per month, if desired. Staff will advocate, accompany, and support victims of Domestic Violence who reside in our Safe Haven Shelter through crisis intervention, transportation using our agency vehicle, assisting in meal planning, parenting, managing crisis calls, intake of new clients, and trauma-informed care. The position pays $17 per hour. Iva’s Place is located within Loudon County.
